Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 1059 is helping to "build a better community through a major investment in United Way.

On December 9^th, the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 1059 presented United Way London & Middlesex with a cheque for $75,600 from proceeds from their annual golf tournament.  Over its history, the event sponsored by LIUNA and supported by its members, signatory contractors and industry employer partners, has raised close to half a million dollars to help build a better community.
 

Chartered in 1953, LIUNA Local 1059 represents workers in Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth and Bruce counties. Its 3,000 members include 2,400 construction and 600 maintenance, light manufacturing and security employees.
