Fanshawe College announces United Way donation

Fanshawe College presented United Way with its 2009 workplace donation of $90,652.

On Wednesday, January 20 Fanshawe College presented United Way CEO Andrew Lockie with its 2009 workplace donation of $90,652.

“More than ever the needs of our community are great, and the generous people at Fanshawe College have responded,” says United Way CEO Andrew Lockie.  “They are tremendous contributors to our community and serve as a great example of what we can do when we come together.”

In October, Fanshawe College kicked off its United Way Campaign with a chili cook-off and announced its fundraising goal of $73,000. In surpassing their goal, it is Fanshawe’s largest United Way Campaign donation to date. The final total was also helped by 18 new Leadership donors – those who give $1,000 or more annually to United Way.
