A gift to the United Way Forever Fund serves your community perpetually and leaves a lasting legacy for your children, friends, neighbours and family.
The Forever Fund is an endowment fund in which your gift will be permanently held and invested. The investment income earned will be used to ensure continued support of essential community services and programs, now and in the future. A gift of securities maximizes the impact of your contribution because more money goes to where it is needed the most. United Way has the experience and expertise to ensure your gift will have the greatest impact. A gift of securities can include:
While tax incentives are not the only reason to give, they are an important factor to consider. A gift of securities is the most tax-effective way to donate. As of 2006, gifts of securities receive the full tax credit and are not subject to capital gains tax.

The Philanthropists' Circle is a national, major donor initiative of United Ways across Canada.
With an entry level of $25,000 or greater each year, this initiative builds on United Way's capacity and opportunity to develop relationships with major donors and personalize giving opportunities to suit donors' individual needs, preferences and circumstances.
Leading philanthropists are acknowledging their capacity and responsibility for establishing, promoting and funding a vision of community and a reality of progressive, accessible social programs.
