One donation. Double the impact.
Eleven London donors believe so much in the importance of United Way, that they are willing to put "their money where their mouth is" and are extending a challenge to the rest of the people in London and Middlesex County to do the same. Their challenge to the community - "collectively, we are willing to invest $360,000 in our community through United Way, but only if you give too."
In the form of a Leadership Challenge Grant, these donors will match dollar-for-dollar new contributions in excess of $1,000, essentially doubling donations. In the midst of increasing social needs in our community, the Leadership Challenge Grant is a significant boost to the 2011 Campaign and could, when matched, potentially total more than $700,000; a significant investment for people who need it the most.

There are two ways to double your giving!
Any new Leadership gift pledged on or after the launch of the campaign on September 14th, 2011, will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
OR
If you have already donated to the 2011 Campaign, but not at the Leadership level, you can still take advantage of the Challenge. Any new pledge that brings your 2011 donation to $1,000 or more will be matched.
OR
If you have supported United Way at the Leadership Level ($1,000 or more) last year, and you increase your gift this year, the increase in your gift will be matched.
But, hurry to double the impact of your gift, as when the $360,000 has been depleted, the matching stops.
